With temperatures soaring in the Puget Sound area, Tukwila Parks and Recreation is turning on sprinklers at three of its parks for residents to escape the heat.
Residents are invited to take a walk through the sprinklers to help cool off at these three city parks through Sunday, July 31 at these times:
- Cascade View Community Park (14211 37th Avenue South): 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. – 5 p.m.
- Joseph Foster Memorial Park (13919 53rd Avenue South): 2 p.m. – 5 p.m.
- Riverton Park (13263 Macadam Road South ): 2 p.m. – 5 p.m.
Families can also escape the heat at the Tukwila Community Center (12424 42nd Avenue South) Spray Park, which operates from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. every day.
