Tukwila is growing. As more people come to call our City home, the rivers, and streams that we enjoy face new pressures. The City is developing a Stormwater Management Action Plan (SMAP) to improve water quality in Riverton Creek, a tributary of the Green and Duwamish Rivers. Gathering and incorporating public opinion is part of the City’s SMAP.
Together with the Washington State Department of Ecology, we can utilize Surface Water Management fees property owners pay towards water quality improvements in our community. We need your input to prioritize actions we can take to reduce pollution and improve overall water quality in Riverton Creek.
