Don’t miss Tukwila’s Annual Clean Up on Friday, June 1. Instead of hauling your junk to the transfer station, bring it to your curb for disposal. The Annual Clean Up is designed to help Tukwila households, single-family up to 4 – plex, dispose of bulky household items.

Following a large scale emergency, professional responders may not be immediately available as they are tasked with multiple priorities. Through CERT training, individuals and organizations learn life-saving response skills to help each other until professionals arrive.

The City of Tukwila is pleased to announce the 2017 Tukwila Business Recycler of the Year winners – CASCADE VIEW ELEMENTARY AND JELD-WEN! This year the selection committee chose two winners, since each had very impressive waste reduction and recycling achievements.
Volunteer needed for vacant position on Tukwila Arts Commission
The Tukwila Arts Commission encourages citizen participation in the arts, promotes arts in the Tukwila community and advises City officials on arts matters. The Arts Commission will be seeking to fill this vacancy immediately as they are in the midst of planning the 22nd Annual Fine Arts Show in conjunction with the Backyard Wildlife Festival. The position is open until filled, but a first review of applicants will happen on March 26, 2018.
Tukwila residents may qualify for utility discounts or tax rebate
The City operates a Utility Tax Relief Program for low-income seniors 62 or older, and disabled low income residents. Reduced rates on water/sewer, surface water, garbage service and cable TV bills are also available to persons 62 or older, and disabled low income residents.
