This is shaping up to be a big year for the City’s Public Safety Plan. After extensive preparation over the last two years, we are ready to begin construction on Fire Stations 51 and 52, the Tukwila Justice Center, and a consolidated Public Works facility. Fire Station 51 will be the first project to kick off.

The City will cancel its automated interactive phone system on March 1, 2019
Among the methods available to Tukwila utility customers for paying their bills was an automated interactive phone system. Due to minimal use of that system, the City has chosen to cancel the service effective March 1, 2019.

City of Tukwila business licenses will transfer to state BLS system on March 28, 2019
The City of Tukwila has partnered with the Washington State Department of Revenue’s Business Licensing Service (BLS). As of the March 28, 2019 effective date, BLS will process all City of Tukwila business licenses and renewals.
