To address the need for more housing and meet state mandates, Tukwila is updating its housing regulations to allow for more housing types. Tukwila’s new regulations will allow for greater density in traditionally single family and medium density zones.  Please attend this Open House to learn more and provide feedback!

The legislative deadline for adoption of Middle Housing regulations is June 30, 2025. To achieve that, the City’s Planning Commission will hold a Public Hearing on April 24th, after which, the proposal will go to the City Council for consideration and adoption.
