Museum of Fright – Free Admission for Ages 17 & Under Wearing a Costume

The spirits of Halloween and Día de Muertos transform the galleries of flight into The Museum of Fright. 

It will be a day of family games, workshops and scary stories, plus special greetings with actor Melanie Kohn–the voice of Lucy van Pelt in many of the animated Charlie Brown films. Museum activities will also engage the traditions of Día de Muertos, and look at Latinos/as/es who have had a role in the story of aviation and aerospace.

All activities are FREE with Museum membership and included with general admission.

Kids 17 and under wearing a costume will receive free admission for the day. Discount not redeemable online, in-person only.

Activity Schedule:

Day of the Dead Community Ofrenda

Time: 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM

Help us build our Community Ofrenda in the Alaska Airlines Aerospace Education Center to honor those who have passed and in celebration of Día de Muertos. You can color your own sugar skull, create your own “Papel Picado” and learn about Latinos/as/es in aerospace.

Meet ‘N Greet with the Voice of Lucy van Pelt (from the popular Peanuts cartoons)

Meet Melanie Kohn, one of the voice actors for Lucy van Pelt. Kohn voiced Lucy between 1974 and 1977 in Be My Valentine, Charlie Brown, It’s a Mystery, Charlie Brown, It’s the Easter Beagle, Charlie Brown, You’re a Good Sport, Charlie Brown, and the full-length feature film Race for Your Life, Charlie Brown.

Tales from the Quonset Hut: Spooky WWII Stories
