Annual Overlay and Repair Program

The Overlay and Repair Program preserves and maintains the street structure in a safe and usable condition. Construction will include, but not be limited to pavement repairs, sidewalk improvements, signal improvements, and an asphalt overlay at seven locations citywide. In addition to asphalt overlay this years project will include ADA improvements, and Traffic Calming improvements. This year the Riverton neighborhood was chosen as well as two locations within Allentown.

PROJECT UPDATE as of 7/26/24:

ICON has completed HMA grind and overlay on 35th Ave S, 37th Ave S, 40th Ave S, S 132nd Pl, and S 128th St in the Riverton neighborhood and has completed 50th Pl S in the Allentown neighborhood. Crews are scheduled to complete overlay at S 114th St location in Allentown next week. Crews will also be completing driveways, installing shoulder rock, and raising utilities in various locations throughout the week. Installation of permanent signs and channelization will follow. Construction is scheduled to be complete August 15th.
