Councilmember Jovita McConnell

Council Position No. 6

Term of office: January 1, 2024 to December 31, 2027.

Education and Profession: 

Jovita graduated from Foster High School in 1992. She received her Bachelor’s of Arts in Management with emphasis in Project Management in 2015. Jovita also received her Master’s of Business Administration with emphasis in Organizational Leadership in 2017.

Jovita is currently an Executive Talent Management Specialist in the Human Resource organization at The Boeing Company, where she leads, deploys and monitors enterprise talent management, succession planning and performance management tools and processes.

Family: Jovita and her husband Shane have three children: Presley King, Toby and Tatum McConnell. Presley graduated from Foster in 2019, Toby will graduate in 2025 and Tatum will graduate in 2028.

Interests: Jovita loves to spend time with her family. As for activities she loves to run, roller skate, exercise, read, and crochet. As a community member; Public Safety and Justice, Racial Equity, Children and Youth Programs, Environment, Affordable Housing and Economic and Community Development.
