Each City Council Committee meets once a month, then passes its recommendations forward to full Council for action.
All meetings are open to the public and are conducted in a hybrid format, both onsite and electronically via MS Teams. Information about how to access the meeting is printed on each agenda. Sign up to receive City Council meeting agendas here.

Planning & Community Development Committee
This Committee will provide policy recommendations on legislative matters relating to housing policies and programs, planning and land use, annexations, building and development regulations, code enforcement, economic development, planning and tourism, workforce development, environment and sustainability, and other ad hoc matters as assigned.

Community Services & Safety Committee
This Committee will provide policy recommendations on legislative matters relating to police, fire, emergency services, municipal court, public safety facilities, animals, community engagement, human services, parks, recreation, youth and senior services, golf course, community center, library, public art, social equity and justice, and other ad hoc matters as assigned.

Transportation & Infrastructure Services Committee
This Committee will provide policy recommendations on legislative matters relating to transportation, traffic, streets, water, sewer, surface water, power, street lighting and signals, solid waste and recycling, river basins and levees, aviation, telecommunications, shops facilities, fleet, and other ad hoc matters as assigned.

Finance & Governance Committee
This Committee will provide policy recommendations on legislative matters relating to financial management and fiscal operations of the City, administrative services, insurance, personnel, compensation, technology systems, government performance, public records, and other ad hoc matters as assigned.
