City Attorney's Office

The City Attorney’s Office represents and guides the City of Tukwila in all areas of law, and prosecutes most misdemeanor and gross misdemeanor offenses that occur within the City. The City Attorney advises elected officials, board and commissions, and staff on all legal matters pertaining to City business. In addition, the City Attorney drafts and reviews legal documents, provides legal oversight of day to day operations, represents the City in litigation, and protects Tukwila’s interests so that the City may better serve the public.

The City Attorney stays up to date on municipal law, and offers training to staff and officials as needed. The City Attorney represents the City itself, and cannot represent or provide legal advice to the public.
