Starting Monday, March 21, contractor crews working for the Washington State Department of Transportation will begin an 18-month project to rehabilitate nearly 13 miles of the interstate – replacing expansion joints and concrete panels, repaving sections and resurfacing other sections between Tukwila and Federal Way.

The City operates a Utility Tax Relief Program for low-income seniors 62 or older, and disabled low income residents. Reduced rates on water/sewer, surface water, garbage service and cable TV bills are also available to persons 62 or older, and disabled low income residents.

The 42nd Ave S Roadside Barrier Project has begun in Allentown
The 42nd Ave S Roadside Barrier Project is located at 42 Ave S. and 116th in Allentown. It involves the installation of a barrier between the Duwamish River and the adjacent streets. The project is scheduled to take 5 days to complete, but minor delays are expected.
PSE replacing natural gas main on 57th Ave S. and S. 147th St.
In an ongoing effort to deliver safe and reliable energy to Tukwila-area customers, Puget Sound Energy’s natural gas system maintenance program will soon be underway. The work requires PSE to replace the existing, underground natural gas main, installed in 1979, with corrosion-resistant plastic main. Read more…
Public Meeting to Provide Input on Tukwila’s Stormwater Management Program (SWMP) Plan
To meet the requirements of the City of Tukwila’s Western Washington Phase II Municipal Stormwater Permit, the City’s Stormwater Management Program Plan is currently being updated.
