A strike of the Western Washington Crane Operators and other workers is currently impacting all City of Tukwila road construction projects

A strike of the Western Washington Crane Operators and other workers is currently impacting all City of Tukwila road construction projects (42nd Avenue S, 53rd Avenue S, and the Boeing Access Road Bridge Rehabilitation). Until the labor agreement is settled, all of the City’s projects are affectively stopped and no work is being performed.

Construction on three bridge projects will require closures and other disruptions

Construction on all three projects will begin on Monday, July 24, and all are anticipated to be completed in January of 2018. Construction will generally occur between 7:00am and 6:00pm, except when listed below. Some of these efforts will require closures and other disruptions. Drivers will be notified in advance of any closures via mobile electronic signs posted near the bridges in both directions.
