Due to extremely poor air quality, Family Fest is rescheduled for September 19th, 3:00pm-6.00pm. The health and safety of the community is always the first priority for Tukwila Parks and Recreation.

Volunteer needed for vacant position on Tukwila Arts Commission
The Tukwila Arts Commission encourages citizen participation in the arts, promotes arts in the Tukwila community and advises City officials on arts matters. The Arts Commission will be seeking to fill this vacancy immediately as they are in the midst of planning the 22nd Annual Fine Arts Show in conjunction with the Backyard Wildlife Festival. The position is open until filled, but a first review of applicants will happen on March 26, 2018.

Tukwila Parks & Recreation is gearing up for our annual Giving Program, the Spirit of Giving, for Tukwila families. Recipients in this program are typically children and families who are homeless, low-income or in troubled situations. The Spirit of Giving Program is coordinated by event staff but works in partnership with several businesses and local residents.

The Tukwila Community Center will be closed March 14 – 20, 2016
The Tukwila Community Center will be closed for programs and activities beginning March 14th through the 20th for deep cleaning and maintenance. This closure allows the City to address outstanding upkeep issues and undergo additional maintenance to keep our facility safe and clean.
