On Saturday, December 14, 2019, staff and volunteers with Tukwila Parks and Recreation hosted the annual Spirit of Giving Family Event at the Tukwila Community Center. This annual event is made possible by several generous individuals, businesses, and community organizations. Over 425 Tukwila children and their caregivers were invited and welcomed to the event.

2019 Spirit of Giving – Gift Drive
Tukwila Parks & Recreation and the Tukwila Children’s Foundation have joined forces for the 2019 Spirit of Giving Campaign. With help from generous businesses, organizations, and community members, we will reduce financial stress for caregivers and help create a time of ease and JOY for Tukwila children this winter.

Over 55? We want to know what kinds of activities and programs you need and want. The City is currently assessing recreation programs and services for older adults. Results will help plan future activities and services for those that live in Tukwila.
Donate now to Tukwila’s Spirit of Giving Program
Tukwila Parks and Recreation, with BIG of help from others, has provided items of need, along with toys, to over 300 children in Tukwila each winter for the past several years. This year, we’re striving to collect enough items to help 350-400 kids and their families.
The Tukwila Family Fest has been rescheduled for Sept. 19, 2018
Due to extremely poor air quality, Family Fest is rescheduled for September 19th, 3:00pm-6.00pm. The health and safety of the community is always the first priority for Tukwila Parks and Recreation.
Volunteer needed for vacant position on Tukwila Arts Commission
The Tukwila Arts Commission encourages citizen participation in the arts, promotes arts in the Tukwila community and advises City officials on arts matters. The Arts Commission will be seeking to fill this vacancy immediately as they are in the midst of planning the 22nd Annual Fine Arts Show in conjunction with the Backyard Wildlife Festival. The position is open until filled, but a first review of applicants will happen on March 26, 2018.
