The City of Tukwila is assisted in its operations in several areas by the volunteers who serve on our Boards and Commissions. Volunteers serve an important function by offering their time and expertise as members. Anyone interested in serving on a Board or Commission can complete an application and submit it to City Hall.

Join us for a Ground-Breaking Ceremony for the future Fire Station 51 on March 30, 2019
This is shaping up to be a big year for the City’s Public Safety Plan. After extensive preparation over the last two years, we are ready to begin construction on Fire Stations 51 and 52, the Tukwila Justice Center, and a consolidated Public Works facility. Fire Station 51 will be the first project to kick off.

Free tax preparation available at Foster High School through April 19, 2019
Free tax preparation is available at Foster High School on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 5:00pm to 8:00pm through April 19th, 2019. Take the stress out of filing your taxes and have United Way of King County prepare your return for free!
2018 Holiday Lights Contest Winners!
Thank you to all who entered our 5th Annual Holiday Lights contest! Our judges were wowed by all of the showstopping displays and had a very hard time selecting winners.
The City of Tukwila has an opening for a resident position on the Planning Commission/Board of Architectural Review
The Tukwila Planning Commission currently has a Member Resident Opening for a 4 year term ending 12/31/2022. Interested parties should complete a City of Tukwila Boards and Commissions Application and return it to the Mayor’s Office by December 6, 2018.
