Applicants for City Council Position 7

**Congratulations to Verna Seal, who was appointed March 3, 2025 to the vacancy in Position 7.  Verna will be sworn in on Monday, March 17, at 7:00 p.m.**

Tukwila City Council Position No. 7 is vacant as of January 28, 2025, and the remaining six Councilmembers will appoint the most qualified individual to complete the remaining months of the term. The position will be up for election in November 2025. The term of office will be from the date of appointment through the certification date of the November 2025 General Election.

Applications were accepted through February 21 at 5:00 p.m.  The following applicants were verified by King County Elections as being eligible for the office:

Interviews of eligible candidates are scheduled for Monday, March 3, 2025 beginning at 5:30 pm. in the City Council Chamber.
