Duwamish Hill Preserve – Solstice Walk, Reading and Park Tour

Join Green Tukwila staff member Olena Perry for a Solstice walk and reading at Duwamish Hill Preserve. Olena will discuss the longest night of the year and the sun’s return. She will also discuss the hill’s history and the unique ecosystem including the Madrone grove at the site..

What to Bring

Dress for the weather, maybe an umbrella if a chance of rain. Wear good hiking shoes the tour will go to the very top of the hill. Waterbottle and a backpack to take valuables from the car would be great.

Parking lot or parking is across the street by the river.

This hike has a steep incline on a gravel trail with two sets of stairs. No restroom onsite but the Tukwila Community Center is a 2 min drive from the park.
