Disaster Book Club – “Full-Rip 9.0”

September 25 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

SEP 25 @ 7 PM – DISASTER BOOK CLUB

TUKWILA JUSTICE CENTER

We’ll be reading and discussing “Full-Rip 9.0” by Sandi Doughton. This book provides readers with a fascinating history of earthquakes in the Pacific Northwest, tells the tale of how scientists discovered the Cascadia Fault, and intersperses fun (and in some cases) terrifying facts about our readiness for an earthquake of that size and magnitude. If you like science, disasters, and history, this book is for you! You’ll be both fascinated and terrified by what you discover in these pages!

Please note that a day-time Book Club Discussion will take place on September 25 at 1 PM in Council Chambers.

By combining the stories of survivors with research into how the brain works under extreme duress, Surviving Disaster with Amanda Ripley brings light into civilization’s darkest moments and better prepares you for a disaster.
