FREE Hiking Event
August 20, 2022
King County’s Trailhead Direct transit service has returned this summer with King County Metro and King County Parks focusing the transit-to trails service on its most popular route with stops at trailheads near Mount Si, Mount Teneriffe, and Little Si.
Program includes ORCA card and lunch.
AUG 20 – Guided hikes in Mandarin and Cantonese
AUG 27 – Guided hikes in Vietnamese and Spanish
SEP 10 – Guided hike in Spanish.
Trailhead Direct makes some of Washington’s most popular hikes more accessible to everyone and keeps our trailhead parking lots a little less crowded. The service has become a popular, eco-friendly way to get out of the city and explore the trails of King County.
Since launching, passengers have used Trailhead Direct for over 33,000 hikes, including 5,000 hikes in 2021.
Riders can take the bus, Sound Transit Link light rail, or bike to get to the Sound Transit Capitol Hill Link station, where Trailhead Direct coaches will depart every 30 minutes on weekends.
To sign up, contact Samara at 425-780-2054 or salmonte@ecoss.org.
