Contractor crews will close three lanes of northbound I-5 between the I-405 interchange and the Duwamish River Bridge from 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 25, to 5 a.m. Monday, Aug. 28. The lane reductions will give crews enough space to repave the Interurban and Duwamish River bridges as well as replace expansion joints on the Interurban Bridge.

Puget Sound Clean Air Agency has declared that the air quality is unhealthy for sensitive groups. Children, elderly, and those with heart and breathing problems to be cautious. Wildfire smoke has been moving in from British Columbia and is expected to remain in the region and negatively affect air quality through at least Friday, August 4th.
The City wants to know your opinion on changes to Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) regulations
An Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) is a small, self-contained residential unit built on the same lot as an existing single family home. In the fall the City Council will consider if backyard cottages should be allowed and other changes to the ADU regulations. The City wants to know your opinion and has posted an online survey.
